Tree Sale

More info for inquiring minds. I am a 42 year old male and have been making trees for 20+ years, my interests other than trees includes sailing a old catamaran (hobie 16' like in the first jaws movie) that I found busted up on the beach and modified a bit, brain research, physics, I play the guitar badly and the piano even worse, solar power. I have not owned a tv for 20+ years. I am a voracious reader. I like kitesurfing on frozen lakes. I am trying to make my fun have as small a carbon footprint as possible. More on trees I have been selling trees for about 15 years, for the first 5yr I was mainly giving them away and one think lead to another and I eventually picked up a art rep for my trees and had a bit of luck with sales to banks and insurance companies(CV here http://artstock.net/resume.html) Photos of older trees here http://artstock.net/ Where do I want to go with this tree thing? Over the years my trees have been getting larger and I have been contemplating what it would take to build one say 20 foot tall. If anyone out there has a large pile of aluminum rod as thick as a finger they want to get rid of please let me know. One of my goals is to get a 12 foot tree finished by 2012. Another goal of mine is to make art that lasts quite a long time with minimal care and is fairly durable. If you would like to see a demostration see here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QNc-NFrz-U Most of my trees are made out of a aluminum alloy that is extremely corrosion resistant and easy to care for. There is no glue or anything like that in my trees they are held together with friction only. As such they will last many many lifetimes with minimal care. Another goal I have is to sell google, I would like to put a 8"--12" trees on the employees desks at a google central somewhere. Then after those are a big hit maybe the google might have a spot for a 20 ft tree somewhere. Yet another goal I have is to replace trees that are being grown where they should not be. In the downtown area where I grew up they keep planting these trees where they struggle for 3-5 years and die to much cement and not enough dirt just kills trees, and they even spend quite a bit of money to kill these poor trees. I also thinks a line of 20' aluminum trees running down the downtown would be a handy tourist trap and would be more cost effective in the long run than replacing large trees every 5 years or so. Why do I want to make the large trees so bad? The simple reason is that it is too hard to feed myself with the smaller trees. Example if sell a 30 inch tree for $4000 that has 350hrs bout 11per hr vs sell a 20 ft tree for 30k at the same 350 hrs. I have spoke with a respected art critic who believes that if I can pull of a 20 ft tree with the same results as my smaller works I will get the 30K for it. If you would like more info on the big tree plan call me 920-215-1073. Also if I do have luck with the big tree plan the prices on the small trees automagically double.
